Island Stare

Considering nature as a source of being, a space where embodiment, memory, and visual perception intersect. It proposes that looking at landscapes and natural forms is also an act of inward projection, where histories of place become entangled with personal interiority and collective ancestry.

Etonmars is an interdisciplinary artist whose work grows from a persistent friction of identity, memory, and belonging.
Working across photography, film, theater, and installation, she builds spaces where marginalized experiences can be witnessed and felt.

Rooted in documentary observation and guided by an instinct for the in-between, her practice wanders deliberately, across cultures, across media, and the self – alert always to the coexistence of freedom and unease.
