Twelve Years A Pilgrimage, Documentary (In pre-production)

A Documentary Film Project

In 2015, four friends set out from Chengdu along Highway 318, a journey through earthquake-scarred valleys, ancient irrigation fields, and the vast, breathing landscapes of the Tibetan plateau. They promised to return ten years later, to trace the same road again, to see what had changed in the world, and in themselves.

But when the time came, life had quietly redrawn its paths. Three of the four could no longer return. The promise dissolved into silence, leaving only the artist and filmmaker, Etonmars to carry the memory forward.
Now, in 2027, twelve years since that first passage, she takes the road again. Alone.

What began as a shared journey becomes a solitary pilgrimage. Part remembrance, part reconciliation. The road, once marked by laughter and companionship, now becomes a mirror: of distance, of persistence, of what remains when time has taken the rest. Through villages rebuilt, unchanged mountain paths, endless hum of wind over prayer flags, Twelve Years A Pilgrimage listens to the quiet dialogue between a traveler and the road that remembers her present, their past, and the life shared together and apart in everyones journey.

Eczema, Experimental (2025 In production)
Run Covid Run – Experimental Vlog (2022 – in post production)

When the notorious lock-down finally lifted, she ran, literally, on the first day of reopening, heading south toward her hometown. Run Covid Run is part vlog, part diary, part fever dream. It serves as a poetic sprint through the surreal aftertaste of confinement. Between satire and sincerity, exhaustion and joy, we see traces of the strange beauty of a moment when the world was both broken and forgiving. The film shows a conflicting status where the eagerness and action of ‘run’ parallel the very essence of being forced static in the room.

Through Etonmars’ lens, the journey became a moving portrait of a world blinking back into motion, a landscape where absurdity met tenderness, and where laughter often stood in for disbelief.
