City Histories

Taken on film, City Histories is inquiring into female presence, past space, nature, and the embodied gaze of the usually glamorous Shanghai in a perspective of deep observation and the relational dynamics between identity, environment, and memory.

  1. Human

2. Landmark

3. Passing

Etonmars’ work centers on finding space and connections,
creating experiences in metaphorical questioning,
whether in relation to identity, memories, trauma,
social struggles or cultural expectations.

Utilizing extensive range of medium,
She wanders as she tries to find her place
in the environment she is surrounded by,
constantly aware of the duality of freedom and the unease.
