Between My Face and Yours

Tension between the inward gaze and the outward connection – between the body as a private landscape and community as a shared space of becoming.

Thumper Collective

Between my face and yours presents Etonmars’ work, Zhuan (Triptych), the Self Gaze River, Cynthia’s arm, Chenny’s bone.

Their works reflect how identity is shaped and held – within our own bodies, our relationships, and the communities we build. From the ordinary moments that make up queer life to the intimate details our bodies carry, this installation invites you to look closely, gently, and without judgement.

Here, identity is both singular and collective. The self is not separate from the stories we share – and to see ourselves is, sometimes, to see each other more clearly too.
